When it comes to wedding entertainment, Miami's "anything goes" spirit reigns strong. We've polled local planners and experts to discover some of the more extravagant entertainment orders requested by Miami brides — that bring a bit of the city's spirited flair for an over-the-top party.

1. Champagne-Pouring Aerial Silk Dancers
It's your wedding day so why shouldn't people be swinging from the chandeliers celebrating? Bring in the experts for this one, with aerial silk dancers swinging from trapeze-like chandeliers (lined with champagne instead of lights, of course). These skilled servers head toward the ground — only to skillfully pour a glass of bubbly for your guests.

Mandarin Oriental Miami's Social Catering Director Victoria Chase has also seen brides take this one step further, kicking off customary toasts with a classic Champagne sabering — a French tradition during the times of Napoléon — performed by a sommelier or the groom himself. Read real brides' reviews here!

2. Swinging Mermaids
Take a cue out of the "Moulin Rouge" playbook with dancers dressed in your theme of choice hanging from the ceiling on swings. Some brides have taken their South Florida locale to heart, transforming their reception at spots like Temple House into a Little Mermaid-themed seascape with real-life versions of Disney's Ariel swinging gracefully from above. 3. Video Mapping
Temple House is also South Florida's first venue with permanent 360-degree video mapping projections, meaning your wedding day wish is the audio visual team's command. The venue's four white walls and 6,000-square-foot ceiling can instantly transform into your dream destination, whether you'd like to dance in the streets of Paris or be transported to the beaches of Rio de Janeiro. Read real brides' reviews here!

4. Strolling Table
Instead of a bar cart, serve your guests champagne flutes tableside for a toast from a strolling table — one of TOCA Social's more popular requests — with a bartender dressed Burlesque-style in a very Cinderella-inspired skirt that flows down in tiers. Hold your glasses perfectly in place as she pours the bubbly and hands it off to guests. Read real brides' reviews here!

5. Cigar and Cognac Pairing Station
Turn wedding flavors into an interactive experience with on-site cigar "baristas" showing off their craft while also providing the perfect after-dinner drink pairing with cognac. You'll be bringing a taste of Miami's quintessential Latin American flair to the wedding reception, all while impressing your guests.

He's not just winning trophies on the green! 26-year-old pro golfer Rory McIlroy and girlfriend Erica Stoll are engaged, after about a year of dating. Rumors swirled about a proposal after he posted a photo on his Instagram of the Eiffel tower in Paris last week, which was believed to be the location of the deed during the couple's romantic getaway.

The 26-year-old world-ranked golfer stepped out with his beautiful bride-to-be,who was wearing a huge diamond ring, on Thursday at The Paddy Wallace Fund in Belfast, according to E! News. Although they haven't officially announced the news, the diamond on Stoll's finger doesn't lie!

The Irish-American duo were first spotted together in Rochester New York back in April, but made their first public appearance in June at the Royal County Down. McIlroy is usually mum about his love life, but recently told The Times of London, "I am very happy in my love life. We haven't really been putting it out there. She is from America, which is why I like to spend time in Palm Beach."

The two spent Thanksgiving together in Ireland, which he shared in on Instagram with the caption, "This is what Thanksgiving looks like in Northern Ireland..... Bringing 2 cultures together ha. Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends out there! #gobblegobble."

We're wondering whether the pair will decide on an Irish or American wedding location — or perhaps a combination of the two (did some one say Guinness and burgers as the main course)? Whichever country they choose to tie the knot in, we're excited to find out.

Congratulations, lovebirds (no pun intended)!

Dawn is breaking and the sunlight slowly peeks in through your window. After countless days of frantic wedding planning and last-minute to-dos, the big day has finally arrived. You're probably thinking "Is it here already?! It's actually happening!" And in the few minutes of quiet that you have to yourself (before the wedding mania begins!) take a minute to revel in this special moment. Whether it's a relaxing morning with you and your coffee or sharing your bed with your five BFFs as you all giggle in excitement for what's to come, we've curated the perfect morning-of playlist to help you soak it all in.

We're starting our mix with a beautiful acoustic instrumental by Laura Veirs, and we're totally giving you permission to spend a few extra minutes in bed — after all, who's to deny the bride-to-be a little extra R&R before the most important event of her life? No one of course! Next is the feel-good classic "Here Comes the Sun" by The Beatles, covered by Nathan Johnson, that will have you beaming with joy before you join in on the chorus (seriously, we dare you not to sing along). There's no true lazy morning without a sunny, nostalgic croon of a Jack Johnson song — and Us The Duo covers the folk singer's "Better Together" with lovely, heartwarming ease. Next up, singer-songwriter Lucy Schwartz teams up with Aqualung in "Seven Hours," a sweet, indie-pop ballad that is guaranteed to give you butterflies as they sing "seven hours 'til I get to see you" — a chorus we're sure you'll relate to as you count down the hours until you say "I do."

Along with the light, acoustic tracks, we've incorporated some total throwback jams that might just give you all the feels. Cue "100 Years" by Five for Fighting, and try to fight back those tears or sway along to Rusted Root's "Send Me On My Way" as you start getting ready. No one can resist John Mayer's boyish charm in "Your Body is Wonderland" or Angus and Julia Stone's sweetly haunting rendition of "You're the One That I Want," both capturing the expanse of emotions every bride-to-be experiences on her wedding day from sheer giddiness to deep anticipation. Finally, we end our mix with Glen Hausard's "Wedding Ring," a beautiful last track to send you off to the rest of your "forever."

Ready to start listening? Sit back, take a breath, and relax. This morning is going to be all about you.

The Best Songs for Getting Ready With Your Bridesmaids

The mimosas are being poured, your 'maids are sporting matching robes, and your makeup artist has just arrived. What's next on the itinerary? Playing a killer playlist to get you and your gals ready for the big day, of course! We've curated a mix of old and new, with nostalgic '90s classics that will you bring you back to a major #TBT moment and current hits that are total dance-worthy tunes.

We're starting off with a love song that's anything but sappy (you can save that for the first dance), and of course there's no one like Queen Bey to belt out a power ballad that brings you to your feet — and "Love on Top" is the perfect getting-ready opener. Extra points to whoever makes it to the 5th key change! Sing along to "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry and Miley's "Party in the U.S.A.," classic feel-good summer jams, and segue into the iconic 80's synth-claps of Whitney's "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" — you're going to want to put down the hairdryers and curling irons because this one deserves a full lip-syncing dance off. Another diva we're putting on the playlist? Our girl Mariah with our all-time favorite "Always Be My Baby" followed by our MTV idols Britney Spears and Destiny's Child with "...Oops I Did It Again" and "Bootylicious."

Now it's time to bring it back to 2015 with pop staples like Ariana Grande's "Problem," Rihanna's laid-back "FourFiveSeconds," and Charlie XCX's "Boom Clap." We're also adding Maroon 5's "Sugar" to the mix, because honestly it's totally addicting and we think every playlist needs a little Adam Levine love. So now it's time to grab the mic (your iPhone will do) and get loose — after all, with that ring on your finger, and your BFFs by your side (and with divas like Whitey and Mariah singing the classics) we'd say you're in good company for a big-day celebration.

The Best Indie Playlist for Your Wedding

There's nothing better than a good playlist to get your guests pumped up for a night of celebrating. With your wedding-day mix, it's never been easier to showcase your favorite songs, and moves, on the dance floor. For couples who want to skip the cliché wedding songs and opt for something more current and unique (but still wedding-friendly), you're in luck! We've curated a mix of indie pop tunes that read more like backyard bash than a formal ceremony, but will still have your friends and family on the dance floor all night.

Ever think you would be dancing to Beyoncé for your first dance? Well now you just might! Every indie wedding playlist should include an acoustic cover of a major pop song, but with a twist: cue the acoustic versions of Beyonce's "Crazy in Love," Charli XCX's "Boom Clap," and Elvis' "Can't Help Falling In Love," all of which are totally first-dance worthy. Let David Gray's "This Year's Love" or Jack Johnson's "Angel" provide you with all the feels as you share a sweet moment with your father on the dance floor. (Seriously, we dare you not to cry).

After the traditional dances it's time to open the floor for you and your besties. And we think the best way to signal a dance off is with Haim's "The Wire," because no one can resist that guitar opener, right? Follow up with electric hits like Grouplove's "Tongue Tied," Florence + The Machine's "You've Got The Love" and Marina and the Diamond's crazy addicting "Primadonna." Don't forget to include the young ones on the dance floor with the help of the classic, folksy melody of "Home" by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. Next, get couples paired up to the utterly romantic "Sweeter" by Awake or Sleeping and the always-reliable Bruno Mars with his song "Marry Me." Finally, whether your send off is through a sea of waving sparklers or riding off in a getaway car, make a grand exit to an epic closer like "The General Specific" by Band of Horses or "My Body" by Young the Giant.

Feeling inspired? Click through our curated playlist of wedding-worthy indie jams. We won't tell anyone if you're already practicing your dance moves.

Though you know your fiancé well enough to spend your life by his side, you may learn more about him than you expected through planning your wedding. And a simple debate of band versus DJ may become a sudden source of contention. How do you compromise when your fiancé's musical taste clashes with your own? Our etiquette experts weigh in.

Before moving any further in the music selection process, set up a date with your fiancé to discuss each of your preferences. Taking the time to understand why a DJ is on your fiancé's wish list and explaining your own reasoning for a wedding band will help clarify your reasoning. Does your fiancé have a taste for diverse genres and hope to hear certain tunes at your nuptials? Do you love the romanticism of live entertainment? Discussing your logic will help diffuse the situation.

See more: How to Pick the Right Entertainer for Your Wedding Reception

Next, think about what each of you is willing to compromise for the big day. Your fiancé might be satisfied with a live band if he has a hand in selecting the genre they play and which songs they include in their set. In addition, your very own iPod can serve as a pitch-perfectly personalized DJ in the wee hours after a live band has finished their performance. On the other hand, a DJ might be a suitable solution if you have musical friends who could be convinced to perform during the reception. Finally, take a look at your wedding budget. Live bands are a greater financial commitment than a DJ, so if your budget is tight, a DJ could be the ideal solution.

You’re Going to Want to Watch This Flash Mob Marriage Proposal (Hula Hoops and Dancing and Gardens, Oh My!)

A flash mob of dancing hula hoopers might not be your idea of a romantic marriage proposal, but for Jo Mondy, the surprise performance (choreographed and led by her gold Spandex-wearing boyfriend Andy Broughton) was perfect.

Mondy, who runs a hula hooping school in England (don't worry, we didn't know this was a thing, either—but sign us up!) thought she was just going on a picnic with friends when she visited Brighton's Pavilion Gardens on Oct. 6. Even when dozens of her students came out of a nearby building dressed in color-coordinated outfits, an elaborate, viral video-worthy proposal never crossed her mind. "Most of the people in the flash mob were my friends and students that I teach," Mondy told The Argus, "At first I thought they'd put something together for me as their teacher, but I was getting really confused as to why Andy was leading it all."

The three-minute performance ended with Broughton running through a tunnel of hula hoopers and getting on one knee to propose to Mondy, whose shock is obvious. As far as unexpected proposals go, this one is pretty darn adorable—not only did her fiancé incorporate things she loves and people that are important to her, he pulled it off without her ever having an inkling of what was going on! "He's an art director and really creative but I didn't predict that," says Mondy.

So what will the Broughton-Mondy wedding look like? The dancers performed in royal purple and gold getups, so it seems there are already some strong contenders for purple bridesmaid dresses, perhaps. What we're sure every guest at the wedding will be waiting for is their first dance. Will they shimmy with hula hoops? What about another group dance number with friends and family? Either way, it seems like there's a pretty good chance for a second viral wedding video in this couple's future.

Still searching for the perfect first dance song for your wedding? Rock band Goo Goo Dolls (of late '90s and early aughts fame) just released Magnetic, their tenth studio album and the newest single, "Come to Me," is the perfect tune for couples in love.

With lyrics like "Today's the day I'll make you mine/So get me to the church on time/Take my hand in this empty room/You're my girl, and I'm your groom," it's hard to think of another song that so sweetly captures how special a wedding is for couples in love (it even gives Gloriana's "Kissed You Goodnight," from our first annual Brides Live Wedding, a run for its money). Plus, the melody is catchy and reinforces an important point that the lyrics get at—being in love is so exciting, you can continually start again and make your romance feel new.

Better yet, the music video (above), directed by Gus Black, is swoon central. Juxtaposing a few adorable twosomes, the romantic vignettes are downright heartwarming. From the older couple who sport tees that say "Together Since 1961" (great wedding anniversary gift idea, by the way) to the surprise mountaintop proposal to the enviable husband and wife who steal a kiss as their kids run around. Whether you want a break from your day or some relationship inspiration, this vid is a must-watch.

Even the lyric video, featuring a cartoon couple going to a church to get hitched, is ridiculously cute. Bonus, we snagged some exclusive, behind-the-scenes photos from the filming. Check them out below, and let us know what you think on our Facebook page!
