Each week we'll be chronicling the ups and downs on Bravo's I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding. From wedding planner snafus to prenup negotiations and bridesmaidzilla blowouts, tune into our recaps of the Real Housewives of Atlanta star's road to the altar.

Despite what felt like never-ending Bridesmaidzilla spats, pre-nup tension, and a last-minute wedding planner switch-up, we finally got to watch NeNe Leakes marry her man of fifteen years, Gregg Leakes, on last night's two-hour I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding season finale.

Of course, the road to the altar is a bit rocky—after all, it wouldn't be a NeNe Leakes wedding without some drama along the way!

For starters, NeNe is tasked with coordinating 50+ family members who flew into town, in addition to her normal pre-wedding errands. Take her aunt Nena, who travels from Athens, Georgia—without a dress. NeNe, being the generous niece that she is, takes her aunt dress shopping in between checking on the hotel and packaging guest gifts. Then, NeNe receives an email from her father telling her he won't be attending her wedding. This clearly breaks NeNe's heart (and subsequently, ours), especially after she went out of her way to ensure he has all of the luxury accommodations fit for the father of the bride.

Next, it's time to lock down ceremony and reception logistics, NeNe nervously watches Tony Conway, her wedding planner, direct a team of 30 to hand fasten 60,000 crystals (yes, 60,000) for her reception space in just two days (not to mention hang the hundreds of gorgeous billowing flowers, white drapery, and what looks like more than 20 chandeliers).

Even as she gets pampered, her manager interrupts to break the news that instead of walking through the ornately decorated lobby, NeNe will have to sneak to her ceremony through the service elevator and then the Intercontinental's basement to avoid paparazzi. A defeated Leakes exclaims that dealing with these security concerns (which, we're thankful we'll never have to deal with) makes her feel like less and less of a bride.

The one good thing to come from all the pre-wedding mayhem is Gregg's pre-nup surrender. After the rehearsal, he approaches his bride-to-be to tell her he made no changes to the contract she drafted. He says he's going "all in" and signs the document with compassion and trust. NeNe returns the favor with a gift of her own: A shiny new Rolex watch that makes Gregg tear up.

But after self-centered bridesmaid Marlo interrupts NeNe's makeup application to complain about her dress (does Marlo ever learn?), and a whole entourage helps NeNe shuffle her $58,000 gilded lace mermaid gown through hotel's kitchen, it's time for NeNe to walk down the aisle.

Friends like actress Viveca Fox and Bravolebrities Patti Stanger and Kim Zolciak await as NeNe's white-washed bridesmaids glide down the aisle. But the real processional all-stars are NeNe and Gregg's dog in a tux, and NeNe's granddaughter (the reality stars' friends call her "Glammom" instead of grandma).

When all but one bridesmaid is left, NeNe nearly faints. Luckily, a sip of water revives the Atlanta Housewife and she walks down her fantasy-filled Old Hollywood glam aisle flanked by her two sons. After all, she's never one to shy away from a grand entrance!

The ceremony was extremely touching (especially for a Bravo TV special). As TV personality Judge Mathis asks Gregg whether he'll take NeNe to be his wife, he rushes in a quick and emphatic "Yes!" before the officiant even finishes. As the judge rattles the commitments off his list, Gregg responds to each with a hurried "yes" or "I will."

When the tables are turned on NeNe, she makes all of her guests laugh as she recites the vows in true NeNe Leakes fashion. Instead of "For richer or for poorer," NeNe recites back, "For richer or richer," to which Gregg high-fives his bride.

After the vows, the Leakes surprise their guests with the Atlanta "Seeit" gospel choir. Then, Gregg stops the ceremony right before the two are pronounced husband and wife to exclaim one more how much he loves his bride (watch the tear-jerking proclamation, below!).

The two seal the deal with not one or two, but more than three kisses. NeNe then recedes in her gold beaded mermaid gown and crystal headpiece and heads back upstairs to change into a different shimmering sheath with a sheer lace bodice and smaller crystal headband.

At the reception, NeNe doesn't hold back on the dance floor. For their first dance, the newly-minted Mr. and Mrs. hold each other tenderly as singer Fantasia croons Stevie Wonder's hit song "I Believe (When I Fall in Love It Will Be Forever)."

Of course, NeNe changes a third time (because why have two wedding dresses when you can have three?), this time into a short white sequin shift. Gregg and his groomsmen recite a poem (while on their knees!) for NeNe all about Gregg's love for his new wife. The occasion is so joyous that even the two enemy bridesmaids, Marlo and Diana, team up to drunkenly stumble into the bridal suite to spread rose petals for the newly married couple. As they giggle and do impressions of the couple, they realize they're actually getting along and hilariously say, "We're bonding, is it because we're intoxicated?" We'll never know.

We're so thrilled that NeNe got the Hollywood glam wedding of her dreams. Check out some more of the Leakes' wedding photos (including a cute snap of the bridesmaid's red-soled Christian Louboutin's and the couple's humongous wedding cake), below.

David Tutera Wedding Planning Tips

Celebrity wedding planner extraordinaire David Tutera wears many hats, including: coordinator of over-the-top events, designer of gowns for his Mon Cheri bridal line, architect of wedding décor and accessories, and, of course, star in his latest We tv series David Tutera: Unveiled. In contrast with his other We tv show My Fair Wedding, which shines its spotlight on the bride and Tutera's task of spinning their dream wedding theme into an elegant concept, David Tutera: Unveiled examines Tutera's personal life, event planning snafus, and offers an unique behind-the-scenes look at some of his most popular weddings. Viewers will get an inside peek at everything from his creative process to dealing with divorce to prepping for a baby.

See more: Wedding Etiquette Tips: The Ceremony

In honor of the show's season finale this Saturday (airing at 9 p.m. on We tv), we snagged a few moments with David to ask him about everything from opening up his home for the cameras to wedding budget essentials. Read on for his planning tips and to watch exclusive clips from the show!

Brides: How has opening up your personal life on David Tutera: Unveiled differed from shooting My Fair Wedding?

David Tutera: When I was filming for My Fair Wedding, the cameras were around me all the time anyway, they just didn't always show everything! So filming for David Tutera: Unveiled didn't feel all that different. The big difference is really now when the show is airing and all of my fans are reacting to my personal life. It's been so great to see how supportive and caring everyone has been, and I love that I'm able to share all of my life's celebrations as well as challenges.

Brides: What is it like planning a "Super 17" vs. planning a wedding? Who is the easier client to please?

DT: Planning a "Super 17" was fun because it was more about the party and less about some of the formalities of a wedding. I could get a little edgier with the decor and entertainment than I can with many of the other events that I work on. I also got to focus all of my energy planning an awesome celebration, and didn't have to worry about a ceremony. I would say most of my brides are actually easier to please than my Super 17 birthday girl! She had some pretty high expectations and a HUGE imagination to deal with! Most of my brides let me take the reigns a bit more.

Brides: What would you say is the most important thing to splurge on for your wedding?

DT: To me, the most important thing to splurge on is a great photographer! You might not remember what songs the DJ played or how the catering and cake tasted when you celebrate your 20th wedding anniversary. But looking back on your photographs will remind you and your husband of all of your wonderful memories and the joy that was your wedding day! You want to make sure to hire someone who's work you love, and who you will feel comfortable and at ease with all day.

Brides: What is the least important thing to splurge on for your wedding?

DT: The least important thing to splurge on is the printed materials. You'll want your guests to have a great time and enjoy themselves, so entertainment and food are pretty high up there in importance. Though your printed materials are an important element of the day, they won't make or break the event. Printed materials are also an easy (and fun) element to DIY so you can save tons! Get creative with fonts, shapes, colors, and even embellishments to make DIY programs, menus, and escort cards your own!

Brides: What aspect of wedding planning is the most important?

DT: The most important thing is figuring out and sticking to your budget! This should be your first step (right after calling all of your loved ones to give them the good news) and you should continue to refer back to this throughout the planning process. Sticking to a well-defined budget will ensure stress-free days leading up to your wedding! This will also help you to narrow down options when planning all of the different elements of your big day.

Brides: How would you advise brides to deal with difficult family members and friends?

DT: Be open and honest with those family members and friends who may be a bit more difficult during the planning process. Tell them that, though you love them and appreciate their input, this wedding is about you and your fiancé, and the vision that the two of you have for your big day. You'll only get one opportunity to plan the wedding of your dreams, so don't let someone else's vision get in the way! If you know someone may be difficult from the start, it may be best to kindly keep them out of the planning process to avoid conflict.

Brides: How would you advise brides to deal with a wedding planner they realize they don't like mid-planning?

DT: Thankfully, this has never happened to me, so I can't speak from experience! But first, the same as with your friends and family, I would be open and honest with your planner about what you want and what you're expecting. If you're not able to come to an agreement, refer back to the contract that you and your planner both signed to see what your options are. If you decide to go with a new planner, you may lose your initial deposit. However, if things are on good terms, your old planner will hopefully help to transition any existing plans and contracts to your new planner.

Brides: Has a bride of yours ever disagreed with a suggestion or decision you made? If so, how did you come to a resolution, make her see your side and compromise?

DT: Yes, this has definitely happened to me. I meet with all of my couples before sitting down to plan the decor for their big day so that I can get an idea of what they like and what they're envisioning, but we don't always end up on the same page. However, each wedding is about the bride and groom, and not about me. If they disagree with a design I've come up with, I change and alter it until it's something that they love! There have been very few times that I've put my foot down (I can probably count them all on one hand), but it's only been because there is a time and a place for everything, and that place is not always at a wedding!

Brides: Do you have any new exciting developments in the works beyond your planning app, décor line, this show, and your bridal line for Mon Cheri, of course?

DT: Stay tuned to see what I've got coming up next!

Speaking of staying tuned, here are two exclusive clips (one sweet, and one a bit more salty...) from David Tutera: Unveiled. Enjoy!

It was only a matter of time until we saw a Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles proposal. After all, we watched Josh Altman nervously broker a deal on an engagement ring with his mother a few weeks back. And finally, on last night's season finale, Altman closed the deal: he asked his girlfriend of three years (and reality show co-star) Heather Bilyeuto marry him.

See more: 10 Over-The-Top Places to Get Engaged

The Bravolebrity pulled some strings to take Heather to the rooftop of a "big ticket" home under the guise of a real estate lesson (Bilyeu has been nagging her man to co-list on a high-end property so that she's prepared when she finally gets an ultra-luxurious listing).
But as he talks her through considerations like security systems and pre-qualified potential buyers, Altman's nerves get the better of him. He slips up his words (He says things to her like "At the end of the gay" instead of "At the end of the day") and confesses to the camera that he might faint.

It was actually endearing to see the MDLA star—whose often dubbed by audiences as a total sleazeball—get so genuinely nervous. It made us believe that this was a true moment between two people in love, as opposed to the staged scenarios we often find on shows like Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Heather says yes to a 2.6 carat round brilliant-cut, d-flawless, micro-pavé halo-set engagement ring that looks so blingy, she even says "it's so big!" as he places it on her finger. After the big "of course baby," and a tender kiss the two walk downstairs to find their nearest and dearest cheering. What a great way to end the drama-filled season.

And now that Josh and Heather's co-stars Josh Flagg and partner Colton Thorn bought a house together, maybe there's another proposal in the works for next season? We'll just have to wait and see. Congrats to the happy couple!

This Week on I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding—Bachelorette Party Dos and Dont’s

NeNe Leakes Bachelorette Party

Each week we'll be chronicling the ups and downs on Bravo's I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding. From wedding planner snafus to prenup negotiations and bridesmaidzilla blowouts, tune into our recaps of the Real Housewives of Atlanta star's road to the altar.

After the major Bridesmaidzilla showdown on last week's episode, we weren't sure NeNe and her gal pals would even make it to Cancun for her bachelorette party. But as the motley crew rolls into their resort with a mariachi band playing, sombreros atop their heads (one with a veil attached for NeNe) and smiles on their faces, it almost looks like the cool, calm, and collected weekend getaway NeNe was praying for might actually come true!

See more: Spa Locations to Host a Bridal Shower

But alas, like the good Bridesmaidzillas that they are, NeNe's BFFs cause a few bumps along the way.

See more: 20 Affordable Beach Honeymoon Resorts

First, though, we need to discuss the good that these girls did while away in Mexico. On day one, the group goes swimming with dolphins. All seems hunky dory, especially when Diana (the 'maid who NeNe had to scold) lets Marlo grab onto her for support in the water since she can't swim (Reminder: Marlo and Diana are arch-enemies). We guess Diana took her "team player" talk with NeNe last week to heart!

NeNe Leakes Bachelorette Party

Later, Diana, plans a lovely blue party on the beach. The idea is simple: every bridesmaid should wear a blue dress to promote peace, positivity, and love. Diana even decked out the oceanfront with cool blue lighting and billowing blue flags. But what we loved so much about the blue party was the memory book she made for NeNe filled with old photos of the bridesmaids and heartwarming, personal notes from each friend. Even better, Diana told each woman to read her letter (and subsequently tear up) to NeNe out loud. This is a really touching gift idea that any girl could give to her BFF/future bride. Plus, it doesn't cost much to put together! (It is, after all, the thought that counts).

See more: Bridal Party Gifts Under $100

But of course, all good things must come to and end, and shortly after the girls share their mementos, Cynthia brings up an irrefutable fact: Marlo, one of the pot-stirring bridesmaids, is the only bridesmaid not wearing the requisite blue. Everyone in the bridal party agrees that this is drawing the attention away from NeNe when that night (and that weekend, rather) was supposed to be about her. What's the lesson here? Don't break away from the bridal party's instructions. This is the one time in your life you must act like a team player!

The next day, NeNe says her piece: "Being a part of a wedding is about showing the bride how much you want to support and love them and what they mean to you," NeNe confesses. "And I felt that Marlo failed that test last night."

Another major don't? Getting too drunk during any bachelorette activity, especially a dress fitting. NeNe, who only has seven days left until she says "I do," manages to schedule some essential wedding tasks in between tequila shots and surfing lessons. One of which is a final bridesmaid dress fitting for her girls (she even flew in her seamstress all the way from Miami!). Unfortunately, bridesmaid Lexis has been drinking morning, noon, and night and can barely stand still as she gets pinned and tucked. So much so, that she ends up vomiting in the seamstress's bathroom. No one wants to be "that girl"—especially when you're supposed to make sure the bride is having the time of her life! As NeNe so aptly says, "This is a dress fitting party, not a frat party."

Once the bride-to-be sees all of her besties dressed to impress, she breaks down in tears of joy. We can't wait to see all of the over-the-top details come together in her two-part wedding special, airing this Sunday at 9pm!

Feeding wedding vendors etiquette

You already know how much to tip your vendors —but should you also feed them the day-of? Our wedding experts are here to answer your etiquette questions in our daily post.

Do we have to feed the photographer, videographer, and wedding planner?

Working efficiently and pleasantly on an empty stomach is hard, so it's a good idea to make sure that anyone spending a chunk of time at your reception—DJ to valets—has food for fuel. "There's no need to serve them the same plated dinners as guests," says Laurel Szeto, a wedding coordinator and owner of Laurel and Party in Santa Monica, California. "Arrange for your caterer to provide less expensive meals, such as pasta or sandwiches. Just make it something quick and easy so the caterer's focus stays where it belongs—on your party."

Here at Brides, we write a lot about what inspired a particular wedding dress designer's collection—everything from 1950s couture to something more abstract like the discipline of architecture. But rarely do you get to see how and why those seemingly grand statements and metaphors take shape in the designer's mind (and how they translate to the designs). To bridge that gap, Liancarlo created "Venetian Light - a Collection Takes Shape," a short film in which Carlos Ramirez, the designer behind the ultra romantic line, describes how he became fascinated with the light in Venice, and how that fascination made its way to the hand-stitched lace and Italian tulle gowns in his latest collection. To get up-close-and-personal with the latest Liancarlo designs, check out the video above.
