December marks the most wonderful time of the year! Sure, the holidays are exciting, but nothing gets us geared up at BRIDES quite like the kick off of engagement season. And with that comes some anxiety, wonderings, and oh so many questions. Will he propose? Will I like the ring? What if I don't like the ring? What if he doesn't propose? Don't worry, we called in the expert to answer all your questions, Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger.

Stanger recently sat down with BRIDES editor-in-chief Keija Minor at the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, to spill her all of her rules to get you through engagement season. From how long wedding planning should take to what to do if he's not showing sings of proposing any time soon, she covers it all!

With 8 seasons of Millionaire Matchmaker under her belt, the third-generation matchmaker, and Become Your Own Matchmaker: 8 Easy Steps for Attracting Your Perfect Mate author, knows a thing or two about relationship rules. So, who better to answer all of our burning engagement questions?

According to Stanger, it's ok to drop hints on the type of ring you want. "That's going to be on your finger for life," Stanger says. But she also thinks "a promise ring goes a long way." Unless you are past 25, then there are no excuses for a delay.

If you're just dying to know whether or not your honey is about to get down on one knee, Stanger says to look for a few simple signs: "He's whispering with his family. He's happy, he's flying." She says he's also asking to go back to that jewelry store for another look at some ring options.

So what happens after he pops the question? Stanger agrees you should put serious time into your wedding planning. "You shouldn't phone it in. This is something you want to plan." But, she's a little skeptical about the too-long engagement. "If you go past a year, now you're like, are you ever really getting married?"

Ok Patti, now a big post-engagement question. What do you do if you absolutely love the guy, but hate the ring? Can you ask for a replacement? "You can do it. Just be very delicate in talking about it."

It's no secret that here are at BRIDES we love a little bling. Which is why we are so excited to announce our capsule jewelry collaboration with Lulu Frost. Lulu Frost X BRIDES launches Thursday on Lulufrost.com and we couldn't wait to share the Art Deco-inspired collection with you.

The new collection taps into Lulu Frost designer and founder Lisa Salzer's unique sense of style, borrowing from her very own wedding jewels as inspiration.

Salzer's gorgeous Montauk nuptials to ballet dancer Marlon Taylor-Wiles took place earlier this year, and it couldn't have been a more romantic (not to mention glam) affair. The designer's unique sense of style was reflected in the Moroccan and Nepal-inspired decor at the Gurney's seaside resort event. She paired her Romona Keveza dress (convertible to three different styles) with cheeky mink pom-pom Sophie Webster sandals (adorably inscribed with "Wifey...for Lifey" on the soles), a bouquet of fresh calla lilies, and heirloom jewelry to tell a more Art Deco story.

It was those jewelry pieces, inherited from her grandmother, which inspired the Lulu Frost X BRIDES 9-piece collection together. "I wore my grandmother Elizabeth Frost's—my company's namesake—antique pearl and diamond studs as well as a new prototype of Lulu Frost fine jewelry made to resemble the constellations. I wore Marlon's and my star signs—Scorpio for me and a Cancer stud for him," the designer told Vogue. It doesn't get more romantic than that.

"These pieces remind me of jewelry passed down to me from my own grandmother and I hope the woman who chooses one of these styles for her own special day finds excitement in the idea of passing them down for generations to come," Salzer tells BRIDES.

And it's that Art Deco star motif that serves as the main design focus for the Lulu Frost X BRIDES lineup, featuring starburst earrings, bracelets, necklaces and a hair accessory in both gold and silver with crystal pave. Ranging from $125 to $225, the pieces are fashion-forward meets modern design, perfect for the cool bride (or her bridal party!) looking to evoke vintage romance in a stylish way.
